Photos that show how it feels to stay

Generous rooms, warm materials and an outdoor space that works just as well in the morning as it does late in the evening.

Why guests enjoy staying

A place to breathe out and settle in

  • Quiet, nature and plenty of room to unwind
  • Large terrace with garden furniture, deckchairs and a barbecue – at its best at sunset
  • Separate entrance, conservatory and wood-burning stove for cosy evenings in the colder months
  • Dogs are welcome, parking directly at the house and covered storage for bicycles

The apartment

The 83 m² apartment has its own entrance and a large terrace. The conservatory leads into a spacious living area, and the dining room opens onto a fully equipped kitchen. In the colder months the wood-burning stove makes the place genuinely cosy, and a well-stocked bookcase keeps quiet evenings from getting dull.

The setting

Niese is part of Lügde, at the foot of the Köterberg – quiet, and lovely country for anyone who likes to cycle or walk. The village shop is five minutes away on foot, and you park directly at the house. On a clear day the view from the Köterberg reaches as far as the Brocken in the Harz mountains.

Days out

The Weser cycle path runs through historic towns such as Höxter, Bodenwerder and Hameln, all the way to the Corvey World Heritage Site. The Hermann Monument near Detmold, the Externsteine rock formation, the Berlebeck birds of prey centre and the spa gardens of Bad Pyrmont are each worth a day trip. Also worth seeing: the traditional Easter wheel run in Lügde on Easter Sunday.
